Improve your Dutch communication skills with teachers and fellow students in 10 weeks, with our 2-hour evening sessions at our fixed locations throughout the Netherlands.
We regularly organises group courses in Dutch for beginners and more proficient speakers. These courses, with a content tailored closely to today’s requirements imposed on communicative skills, are intended for everyone who regularly maintains personal (or business) contacts abroad.
Focused on everyday practice
These practice-oriented group courses focus on the improvement of your speaking and listening skills. You are involved in role-playing, dialogues and discussions in the group that increase your self-confidence, enlarge your vocabulary, and improve your insight into the grammar. The courses focus on the dexterous use of the language in everyday situations rather than on an in-depth knowledge of the grammar. Self-evidently the yield from the course is partly dependent on your motivation, learning pace, and attendance. Homework and self-study increase the effectiveness of the course.
The trainers are native speakers
Our trainers are competent native or near-native speakers who enable the participants to attain an excellent command of the language and, moreover, introduce them to the business culture of regions that speak the language.
The planning and location
In principle, the duration of the courses is 10 weeks, with one 2-hour evening lesson a week (beginners follow 12 2-hour sessions). The courses are held at our fixed locations. The courses are given for small groups of between four and a maximum of eight participants of a comparable language level. Working in small groups guarantees sufficient personal attention to each participant. The relatively short duration of the courses is beneficial, since it will be easier to schedule the dates in your diary and avoid missing lessons.
Certificate of participation
Regular attendance of the lessons entitles the participant to a certificate at the end of the course. If you so require the course can be completed with a test, when your final level will then also be stated on the certificate.
Standardised language test with certificate
Participants can take a variety of standardised tests at the end of several courses, such as the Dutch-language courses. These tests, inclusive of the internationally recognised BULATS test developed by the University of Cambridge, entitle the participant to a certificate stating the final language level in accordance with the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference: Learning, Teaching, Assessment.
